THIS STORY BEGINS WITH A YOUNG BOY GROWING UP IN HIS FATHER'S PIZZA CAFE AND FOLLOWS THE FLIGHT OF HIS ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT. IT'S ABOUT THE JOURNEY OF A FAMILY RECIPE FROM FATHER TO SON, THAT BLOOMED INTO OUR TREASURED SIGNATURE SAUCE.

1986
THE YEAR "CAFÉ FIORELLA" WAS ESTABLISHED
Rémon's Father, Marcel, owned and operated the original Café Fiorella concept for 22 years. Marcel was known in Belmont for his delicious pizza, devotion to his Christian faith and charming personality. Rémon grew up in his Father's pizza cafe, making pizzas at 13 years old, alongside his father, and learning the business from a young age. Marcel's dedication to family and his church paired with his optimism and hard-working nature, are traits that are mirrored in his son. Rémon’s entrepreneurial spirit, and a delicious life centered around food with hospitality from the heart, became second nature to him. And with that base foundation, Fiorella’s started to evolve and grow.
2000
FIRST FULL-SERVICE FIORELLA'S CUCINA EXPERIENCE OPENS IN NEWTON
The first of many milestones to come, Rémon opened his very first restaurant, Fiorella’s, in Newton at 23 years old. Working day and night, he would not only serve the guests, but cook the food and wash the dishes – all at the same time! The business grew organically over the years as he passionately pursued to master the art of hospitality. His success was an intricate balance of his entrepreneurial business savvy, creating unique and delicious tasting Italian-inspired food, and the creation of a flavor-filled family culture along the way. To date there are three full-service Fiorella's Cucina locations, in Newton, Concord and coming soon to Burlington.
2003
THEN CAME LOVE FOUND ACROSS THE GLOBE; WHEN TWO SOULS MET THEIR MATE IN EACH OTHER
Rémon and Geneviève have been partners in life and in business for 20+ years and continue to grow their evolving hospitality brand, through a collaboration of love, skills, imagination and a vision, that make for a delicious recipe of success. When Geneviève, an Armenian artist who grew up in Zimbabwe, came into Rémon’s life, together they organically created a place to celebrate life’s sweet moments — with delicious food and an accompanying ambiance, built upon family values and rooted in hospitality from the heart. Born to a lineage of jewelry designers, artists and craftsman, Geneviève was destined to be a designer; having earned degrees with distinction, in both Fine Art and Graphic Design. Her creativity and meticulous attention to detail are an inherent part of her lifestyle and work. As Fiorella’s Art and Creative Director, she shapes the brand's visual story and aesthetic experience, through the art of branding and storytelling, that complements Fiorella’s core values, delicious food, and warm hospitality. Her strength lies in her ability to pair key elements and details together, to design experiences that speak to the heart. And so, their love grew a flower, a flower that is Fiorella’s.

OUR SIGNATURE MARINARA SAUCE BECOMES JARRED FOR RETAIL
Jarring our ‘Fiorella’s Signature Marinara Sauce’ was a beautiful moment in making life more delicious! The name Fiorella’s mean 'little flower.' We think of our marinara sauce as Fiorella’s nectar. It’s uniquely delicious, with the essence of a sweet love, that continues to blossom. At Fiorella’s, we put our passion for life and our love for hospitality into everything we do. Life is flavored by sweet moments, and we truly want you to cherish them all. So bring life’s best ingredients together with the ones you love; and savor every bite.
2010
FIRST FINE-FAST FIORELLA'S TRATTORIA EXPERIENCE OPENS IN BRIGHTON
This was the first fine-fast Trattoria concept, formerly known as Express, which would pave the way for others to follow. Its conception was based on providing a fine, and fast, order at the counter experience, compared to the full-service, sit down and stay a while experience, at our Cucina locations. The Trattoria experience was created for when time is of the essence, but you still want to enjoy a fine meal made from scratch, that celebrates tastes from Italy. Place your order at the counter and relax at an open table or order to-go. Leave the cooking to us! We would love to make your life more delicious.

FINE-FAST FIORELLA'S TRATTORIA EXPERIENCE OPENS IN BELMONT
This was a particularly special milestone because this location is the original space that was once Rémon's father's pizza cafe, Café Fiorella. This is a space rich in sentiment, nostalgia and family memories, which is why it also became Fiorella's Headquarters.
2016
“AND SO LOVE GREW A FLOWER, A FLOWER THAT IS YOU”—Sade
Rémon and Geneviève welcome their daughter into the world. She is the muse and inspiration behind so much. The name Fiorella’s means 'little flower,' and their daughter is symbolic of that little flower; and all that is sweet in this life, all that is 'La Dolce Vita.'
2017
SECOND FULL-SERVICE FIORELLA'S CUCINA EXPERIENCE OPENS IN CONCORD
Another significant milestone was the opening of our second full-service Cucina experience in the beautiful and historic town of Concord. This location was a dream come true. It’s a gem in both beauty and location. It has an interesting history and was once an old firehouse with authentic exposed brick walls and beautiful features; which have all been kept intact.
2019
FINE-FAST FIORELLA'S TRATTORIA EXPERIENCE OPENS IN WELLESLEY
This location marks the fruition of yet another dream spot, in the heart of the beautiful town of Wellesley. It also marks the evolution of the Fiorella's brand, and the introduction of Fiorella’s Roman mythological figure and logo, Flora. Italian culture is steeped in delicious things, and lifetimes of incredible history. In ancient Roman mythology, Flora was known as the goddess of spring, flowering plants, growth and abundance. She is often portrayed wearing a crown of blooms. Flora inspired our brand assets and springtime palette hereafter, with the promise of hope, love, light, flowers, celebration and making life more delicious.

FINE-FAST FIORELLA'S TRATTORIA EXPERIENCE OPENS IN LEXINGTON
The opening of this location has special significance to Rémon and Geneviève because they are Lexington residents. They feel honored to be a part of and serve the Lexington community with what is the first fine-fast ‘hybrid’ Trattoria location inspired by 'Flora.' What makes this location unique to the existing Trattorias, is that it has a beautiful bar, serving beer and wine.

AMAZON LAUNCH OF FIORELLA’S FAMILY OF SIGNATURE SAUCES
Our family of signature sauces made their grand debut on Amazon and the response was beyond our wildest dreams. We are so proud and honored to be able to share our beloved signature sauces to a wider audience — Marinara, Fra Diavolo, Tomato Basil and Pizza Sauce. Years in the making, the journey to get to this milestone was an intricate labor of love. We are so grateful to make Fiorella’s a part of your pantry. Flora is the muse and namesake of Fiorella’s brand, portrayed in our logo wearing a crown of blooms. In ancient Roman mythology, Flora was known as the goddess of spring, flowering plants, growth and abundance.
